Supporting Academic and Athletic Balance for Student-Athletes through Time Management

The TIME4SPORTS project

TIME4SPORTS is an Erasmus+ Sport project designed to support student-athletes in effectively managing the dual demands of education and competitive sport. The project develops and implements a structured training programme focused on strengthening practical time management skills tailored specifically to the daily realities of student-athletes.

Balancing training schedules, competitions, academic deadlines, exams, travel, and personal commitments can be overwhelming. TIME4SPORTS addresses this challenge by equipping young athletes with practical tools, strategies, and techniques that help them organise their time more efficiently, reduce stress, and improve both academic and athletic performance.

The project combines blended learning methods, online accessibility, and real-life case-based exercises to ensure that training is flexible, engaging, and directly applicable. Coaches and educators are also involved in the process, recognising their key role in supporting student-athletes’ development and well-being.
